Located just steps from the Indian Ocean in Hikkaduwa, Sri Lanka, 100 kilometers from Colombo, the rooftop studio provides an ideal location to learn and practice. Everything needed for a stay from one to 100 days is available.
There are rooms to rent right at the Kailash Yoga Studio (fully equipped deluxe apartments) and if full, there are dozens of other guest houses and hotels within walking distance. Legendary and healthy Sri Lankan meals are available on the premises and there is an excellent choice of beachside restaurants nearby. Hikkaduwa has been a traveler’s destination for more than 40 years. It’s perfect 3 mile beach and numerous hotels and restaurants as well as other activities have made it famous in all of Asia. During the season (late Sept- end of March) the surf is up. And you might just meet Lyndon in the water. Surfboards are readily available for rent, as is surfing instruction. A coral reef park for snorkeling and diving is also in town.
Off season you can enjoy a quieter atmosphere and participate in one of Lyndon’s Yoga package courses. 1-2 or 3 weeks of intensive yoga training, twice a day along with provided meals and accommodation - on site, if possible or at worst 2 minutes walk away. Legendary instructor, Lyndon Mason will take you through the alphabet and after a while you too will be addicted to the wonderful routine which only Lyndon's unique stye of teaching has to offer.
